Travel 

Bath has excellent transport links. Bath Spa train station is on the main line between Bristol and London, Bristol Airport is about an hour away and the city is close to the M4 motorway.

The conference will take place in the School of Management, 10 East. Please click on the map for a larger version with map key.

By Rail

There are frequent services from London, Bristol and South Wales to Bath Spa Railway station (BTH).

Visit nationalrail.co.uk or trainline.com for train timetables, fares and cheap advance tickets.

By Bus

There are a number of bus services you can take to and from the University's Claverton Down campus, detailed here.

Visit National Express to plan journeys to Bath. There are frequent daily services between London Victoria, Heathrow Airport and Bath.

You can also plan journeys by bus and coach using Traveline South West.

By Air

The nearest airport is Bristol International Airport.

The A4 Air Decker bus service will take you directly from the airport to Bath.

You can also catch the Bristol Flyer Airport Express from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads rail station to travel to Bath by train.

There are regular connections by rail and coach from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

By Bicycle 

You can walk or bike from the centre of Bath using:

  • North Road
  • Bathwick Hill
  • Widcombe Hill

These routes involve a steep uphill climb. It will take 30 to 40 minutes to walk to campus.

Walk or bike from the east of Bath to campus using:

  • Claverton Down Road
  • The Avenue / Claverton Hill (steep uphill climb

By Car

Traffic in and around Bath can become very congested, especially at peak commuter time and weekends. Use an online planner to find the best option for driving to Bath e.g.,

Car Parking

You can drive to the campus but parking is limited so we would recommend public transport as your first option. There are several city centre car parks. Limited, short-stay, on-street parking is also available and is Pay & Display.

Park and Ride services to the city centre are also available in Newbridge, Lansdown, and Odd Down.
