Become a Campbell Peer Referee
Are you interested in becoming a peer referee for the Campbell Collaboration? Campbell wants to grow its referee pool to provide quality feedback to authors and reduce turnaround time.
Referees are subject matter experts in any of the topics covered by Campbell. Your help is needed to give feedback to authors on proposed systematic reviews, evidence gap maps, and scoping reviews.
You are a subject matter expert: if you have substantive experience (e.g. over 3 years experience) in research or policy in any of the domains of Campbell Library which include: Ageing, Business & Management, Children & Young Persons Wellbeing, Climate Solutions, Crime & Justice, Disability, Education, International Development, Knowledge Translation & Implementation, Methods and Social Welfare.
Peer referees are asked to declare conflicts of interest as per our policy. Peer referees should be independent from the author team, i.e. not have published with any of the authors in the last 5 years.
We make it easy to review. Campbell will provide you with referee criteria in an easy-to-use format that parallels the article, making it easy for you to apply your expertise to assess strengths and limitations to help authors produce high quality review products.
No more than three reviews a year. For a small amount of work, you will contribute substantially to building Campbell capacity and turnaround.
Recognition: We will list you as a member of our Editorial Advisory Board on our journal website (unless you opt out).
Compensation: We are able to provide a honouraria of $750 USD per referee assessment for funded reviews
Duration: We ask for a commitment of 2 years, though recognize that your circumstances may change and ask you to let us know if you would like step down.
