You are invited to the online launch of the first ACEs prevalence study for Northern Ireland. This research has been commissioned by the NI Executive's Programme on Paramilitarism and Organised Crime and delivered by Queen's University Belfast. Discover the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and how it affects individuals throughout adulthood. This research will be of interest to a wide range of people including academics, public policy experts, public represenatives and those involved in service delivery.
Designed to align with international standards, this study both sheds light on the unique challenges faced in Northern Ireland and contributes to the global understanding of ACEs. Its findings have the potential to transform how we support individuals, families, and communities in addressing the lasting effects of childhood adversity. It underscores the urgent need for action to address how childhood experiences influence pathways to violence, crime, and other harms. The findings present a real opportunity for policymakers, practitioners, and communities, to work together to create a safer, more resilient society.
Note: If you have already received and accepted an invitation to attend this event in person, you do not need to register for the online version of the event as well.
