The third NABS+ creative workshop will give you the skills, tools, and confidence to start amplifying your research online clearly, safely, and with impact.

Communicating research in security and defence comes with unique challenges. Whether it’s knowing where to begin, navigating sensitive topics, or simply trying to make your work engaging, this creative workshop will help to address that. You'll learn how to amplify your research clearly, confidently, and creatively, as well as use social media to engage with like-minded peers, and discover new opportunities.

This is an interactive and creative session. You’ll practise and explore creative ways of translating your research into accessible, engaging ways online, to improve clarity, communication, and potential real-world impact.

This workshop is suited for researchers who:

  • Are not sure where to start with social media.
  • Want to learn how to write engaging posts on social media channels.
  • Are not sure how to promote research on ‘difficult’ topics.
  • Want practise explaining their research to non-specialist audiences in a concise, social-media-friendly way.
