Overview
As part of NABS+, we are committed to building a strong, diverse, and connected research community focused on behavioural analytics in security and defence.
To support this aim, we are pleased to launch the NABS+ Networking Fund. The fund offers awards of up to £1,500 per event to support initiatives that bring people together and create meaningful connections.
The fund is intended to support events that focus on an area of importance to national security or defence; and which focus on understanding behavioural elements. Events may focus on a specific topic or challenge area and should aim to bring together different disciplines and sectors.
We welcome flexible and creative approaches to event design. Activities may be delivered in-person, online or in a hybrid format.
What the fund supports
The fund aims to:
- Support networking and collaboration across the NABS+ community
- Encourage interdisciplinary exchange and new collaborations within behavioural analytics
- Build links between academia, industry, government and practitioners
- Support activities tailored to community needs and interests
Funding Available
Successful applicants will have access to a budget up to £1,500 to support the running of their event. Funding may contribute towards costs such as venue hire, catering (excluding alcohol), materials, and related event support costs. Please note applicants are only eligible to receive one award under this call.
Deliverables
Successful applicants will be required to:
Pre event:
- Provide event details in advance to support promotion where appropriate.
- Include NABS+ branding and information on NABS+ (which will be provided by NABS+) on promotional materials.
Post event:
- Submit a short post-event summary (approx. 300 words) and photos where appropriate, to be used on the NABS+ website.
- Provide attendance figures following the event.
- Submit a summary of achievements to NABS+ for audit purposes.
