Shamim Miah

Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, University of Huddersfield

Shamim Miah is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education. He is the author of Muslims, Schooling and the Question of Self-Segregation (Palgrave). Shamim’s research focuses on the framing of race, religion in educational policy. His research interests draw upon both empirical and also theoretical approaches to the study of public policy.

He has also contributed towards chapters in books, reports and also various peer reviewed journals. Shamim is also a co-SIG convener (Race and Ethnicity) for BERA (British Educational Research Association.
